Louis Britton

According to Football Insider, West Brom and Wolves are thought to be leading the chase for Bristol City’s Louis Britton, who is deliberating his long-term future.

The teenage striker joined Stockport County on loan earlier this season and is highly regarded at Ashton Gate. However, the 19-year-old’s deal is set to expire in the summer, and he is yet to agree new terms with the Robins.

Premier League clubs have sensed an opportunity to poach the talented striker and are keeping tabs on Britton ahead of the summer window. Both West Brom and Wolves see a lot of potential in Britton and believe he has the ability to lead the line in the future.

If Britton does secure a move to the top-flight, it would mean that his stay at the Championship club was a short one as he only signed for Bristol in 2019. Since then, the teenager has been a vital cog for the U23 side and was sent on loan spells to Bath and Torquay to gain valuable game time before being integrated into the first team.

Bristol City must be having nightmares about this move as they struggle in the Championship and their inability to keep their young talent could have a knock-on effect with other youngsters making similar decisions in the future. The Robins are hoping that Britton renews his deal with them as he was always seen as someone who could make an impact at first-team level in the years to come.
