Watford have been promoted back to the Premier League with a 1-0 win over Millwall.
Xisco Muñoz came to the club before Christmas and has turned around the results.
His side has lost just one from their last 11 league fixtures which has seen them secure automatic promotion back to the English top flight division.
Muñoz said: “I want to say thank you to everyone always for your support.
“Everyone has given the best for the club and for the fans. I think today is the day for our fans. I want to thank our fans because of the support they give us on social media.
“I want to say thanks to everyone working behind me in the training ground at Watford, because they give so much and work very hard every day for us. Now is the moment to enjoy it. We’ve worked very hard to arrive here.”
Watford earned their 22nd clean sheet of the season which is something they will want to build on to try and stay in the Premier League next season.
“It’s important everyone is in the same way and has the same ambition. It’s a special moment and this is first of all because we have very good players. I have the best squad in the Championship and we gave our maximum in all the games.”
Finally, Muñoz revealed all the emotions he has been through in one of the toughest seasons ever.
“Today I think they want more than five beers!” said the Spaniard. “Today is important because we worked very hard to arrive in this situation. Everyone in the club and at home can loosen their tie and have a few beers.
“I don’t know how I’ll celebrate but I feel very, very happy about this situation. First for the fans, second for players, third for my family and my kids. Sometimes when you’re the coach you know how much work has gone on behind to arrive at this situation.
“I had a lot of families in my head when the final whistle went. We have not seen our families for a long time. I was emotional because it wasn’t easy to do this, but I am very proud of everyone who did this work,” he added.
