According to Football League World, Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury could be on the radar of Norwich City.
It is expected that Norwich would be battling with Newcastle United to sign the Foxes midfielder.
Daniel Farke’s side have confirmed their promotion back to the Premier League after being relegated last season.
The Canaries are now looking to the summer transfer market in order to regroup and reinforce as they look to avoid the drop back down to the Championship.
Choudhury is a player that Norwich are looking at to increase their depth in the midfield. Choudhury can be considered as a ‘fringe’ player for the Foxes as Wilfried Ndidi is the main starter.
Norwich’s interest comes after Choudhury has only made nine Premier League appearances this season. But the midfielder is only 23 years of age and has made 46 top-flight appearances.
Oliver Skipp, who has spent this season on loan at Norwich from Tottenham, is yet to decide whether he will continue playing in Norfolk. With Harry Winks securing a place in Tottenham Hotspur’s side, it is unclear as to how many minutes Skipp could receive if he returned to North London.
It is understood that Farke would like to resign Skipp but the decision will be up to the player during the summer.
A reason for Tottenham keeping Skipp would be to add to their ‘homegrown quota’.
It is expected that Choudhury’s asking price would be in the region of £7 million but with Steve Bruce and Newcastle also interested, the two clubs could engage in a bidding war.
